False alarms waste dispatch, train your staff to ignore the panel, and in many jurisdictions start costing real money. Reduction is almost never “turn the system off.” It is zones, delays, and who is allowed to arm the place.
The usual fixes
- Motion views that see HVAC vents, banners, or small animals
- Door contacts on exits the night crew props open
- No dual-action or delay where people legitimately pass through at close
- User codes still assigned to people who left last quarter
