An airport-adjacent facility asked us to look at after-hours motion in a room that should have been empty. The cameras were on. The recordings were not useful. The motion view was a wide interior shot with no context for who had a credential to that door.
The audit changed three things
- A camera that actually sees the door face and the people using it
- Access events tied to that camera so a motion alert is not a mystery
- After-hours rules that page the right manager instead of lighting up an unused inbox
This is the same pattern we see in warehouses and offices: equipment present, design missing. The fix is usually alignment, not another box on the wall.
